Aguero is a legend as city move closer to win title

Man city manager Guardiola announced Sergio Aguero “ a legend ” after the forward became the first player since Thierry Henry to score 20 Premier League goals in five successive seasons.
Aguero struck in the 63rd minute to ensure  Manchester City’ s 1- 0 win away to Burnley at Turf Moor on Sunday that saw the English champions get back to the top of the table.
City’ s 12th successive league triumph extend them to 92 points, one ahead of second-placed Liverpool with both clubs yet having two league games each to play this season.
Aguero has scored  230 goals in eight years with City, making him top andaway the club ’ s all-time top scorer, and the 30-year- old Argentina striker has played a key role in the three league titles they have won during that era.
“ He is a legend; he does that all the time, score essential goals for us,Guardiola said. “ He is an unbelievable player. ”
City stain on course to end theseason with an unprecedented domestic treble; having won the League Cup in February, they come back toWembley to play Watford in the FA Cup final on May 18.
If they have failedo defeat Burnley would have handed Liverpool the go-ahead in the title race, but City proclaim spirited opponent tokeep issues intheir own hands.
Aguero, who had seen a sooner  chance blocked by Tom Heaton, scored after turning on to Bernardo Silva ’ s low cross and fashioning a shot that Matt Lowton looked to have blocked, only for the ball to loop up off the defender’ s chest and cross the line before he could clear it — although goal-line technology was needed before the goal was counted  .
City was refused a second by a brilliant goal-line clearance from Ben Mee, who extended to clear off the line after replacement Gabriel Jesus had rounded Heaton.
Guardiola was captivated with the solidness of his team, who won without their key midfielder Fernandinho and the creativity of Kevin de Bruyne.

“ Here in the most typical English stadium, we didn't ’ t yield onecorner, ” Guardiola said.
“ It is not easy, above all after our ( Champions League) defeat against Tottenham, but our respond hasbeen prominent, without Kevin, without Fernandinho, to come down here and play the way we played. ”
The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss included: “ There are just two matches left is hard forLiverpool, it is difficult for us -– with 91, 92 points, still not champions. ”
Guardiola recommended that City ’ s job at Turf Moor was made harder by the waterless of the pitch, although he made clear this was not a lamenting.
“ In the first half, the pitch was so dry and we had issues moving the ball because the grass was so high,” Guardiola expressed.
“ But when the oppositions come to the Etihad SStadium,we put the stadium laswe wwant. When we go away, they do what they want. That is why I like the Premier League. ”

Burnley had little more than 30 percent domination, we still had the best first-half chance, with Chris Wood failing to control Jeff Hendrick’ s through ball and permitting goalkeeper Ederson off his line to stifled.

How to learn humility from Jesus

Aim:  To trust the Holy Spirit to reveal again the personality of Jesus and cause us to walk in the reality of what he has shown us.
Text: Philippians 2:1-11, John 13:1-17
Introduction:   Jesus  who  is  our   perfect   example  in   all   things  showed  us  an  example  of  the highest form of humility when He being God came as man, He did not consider equality with God something to be grasped (held on to), but made Himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant being made in human likeness and humble Himself to obedience unto death on the cross. His nature of meekness (gentleness) is seen in Him being the lamb of God. meekness does not denote weakness but strength, and a meek person is in control of himself, not insisting on his own way but reaching out in kindness for the good of others and this is a quality Jesus exhibited and he expects us to follow in His example (Luke 22:42).  God lifts up the lowly, saves the humble and gives the meek His grace but resists the proud. The human nature is prone to pride but just as Jesus who has left our infirmities as a man overcame it and humbled Himself, He expects it from us.
Questions for discussion
1.   From Philippians 2:2-4, what is Humility? (a) selflessly using what God has given us to benefit others (b) Thinking of others as better  (c) Agreeing wholeheartedly with each other  (d) walking together with one mind and purpose.
2.   How can we practice humility? (a) A gentle spirit wins people to Christ –pet. 3:1-4, Prov. 25:15, prov.15:1 (b) clothe ourselves with humility –col. 3:12, 1 pet. 5:5-6 (c) Be open and sincere and don’t fake it –col. 2:18,3 (d) Walk humbly with God daily –Eph. 4:,1pet. 5:5, Micah 6:8 (e) Consider others better – Phil. 2:3.
3.   What are the benefits of Humility? (a) God saves the humble -1cor. 1:26-29 (b) God blesses the meek and humble –is. 66:2, matt. 5:5 (c)  God embraces them –James 4:6, Prov. 3:34 (d) With humility comes wisdom –prov.11:2 (e) God leads and teaches them –PSA. 25:9 (f) Brings exaltation –Phil. 2:9, Matt. 23:12,  Luke 1:52.
4.   Example of Jesus humility  (a) In His coming to earth -2cor. 8:9 (b) In  His lowliness –Matt. 11:29 (c) In His life of service –luke 22:27 (d)  In His submission to God’s will –john 6:38-39 (e) In His suffering –is. 53:1-9 (f) In His washing of His disciple's feet –john 13:4-5 (g) In His triumphant entry to Jerusalem –matt.21:5,7 (h) In His death on the cross –Phil. 2:5-8.
Conclusion:  Humility and meekness often may involve a childlike attitude and complete letting go of self and opinions (matt.18:1-4). In other to do this, one has to be submissive before God, seek His face in prayers and walk humbly with Him (Micah 6:8). Therefore, it is expedient that we clothe ourselves with the garment of humility and be lowly in the heart just like Jesus, in other for us to learn of Him and be like Him.
Reflection: Coat yourself with the garment of humility and see how God lifts you up.

5 ways of enabling you to read effectively

Effective reading is the capability to read and understand what has been read and also to be able to assimilate for exam purpose or for knowledge.
The following guidelines line below we help you as a student or graduate to read and understand what you have been read knowledge for them to prepare for an exam especially the undergraduates.

1. Be attentive in the class success is not found on a plater of Gold it is a reward of hard work that is while you have to strife so much in school to actualize your plan. You need to draft out your plan for a particular semester which is a short term goal.
This will guide you to achieve your goal for that semester if you follow it up efficiently.
As a serious student, you have to be attentive e in a class by avoiding distraction from you're friends or by playing with an object the ring lecture hour. Listen to your lecturer attentive they as the lecture is going on so that won't want to miss the important point that the lecturer mention in the class which might not be in your text. Use the importunity to put these point down in your jotter for reference.  Don't hesitate to ask a question if there is any about the topic being taught that you don't understand or better of you can ask any of your mates to help you out. This will enhance you to read effectively so that you can be cleared while reading your books and you will be able to assimilate and also read to know and not to pass only.

Truancy to read? do you read?
As a set, the student you must know the main purpose for reading your books at a certain period. Some students read to cram for exam why some break now while will be useful for them in the future even after graduation.
Cramming while reading for the exam is very risky because a there is a tendency for you to forget some part of what you have cramped, if you read to know it, it will be part of you and you won't forget it easily. Don't be lazy to work hard to earn the success that's effective reading.
Reading effectively will help you in a long way to be knowledgeable because you read to know not to pass your exams only.
3. Where did you read?
It is very wrong for students to be reading and listening to music at the same time or doing another thing entirely while reading. This is more or less a distraction that will not enable you to concentrate on what you are reading, you can't also read in a crowded place where there is the noise you will hardly understand or assimilate what you are reading in this kind of environment. The best place for you to read is a quiet place without noise or any distraction. There is usually quietness at night when everybody has gone to bed you can read and understand this period and you will be cleared and be able to assimilate which is the result of effective reading. You can likewise arrange for group reading with your friends for you to no more about a certain topic or course that you find difficult to understand. it will make Your reading ability effective.
4. Read wisely.
This has to do with the manner leading ng, I ng if student A can read for just 1hour and he won't be able to further her, how can he cover a hundred-page notebook within 1hour.
For him not to read in vain he has to read his note at interval since it is voluminous pages. But if student B can read for 2hours he will likely finish the 100-page notebook within 2hours. So for student A, he needs to rest for a while after the 1hour has lapsed, this will help him to read effectively, but for student B  he can cover his notebook within 3hours and will be able to assimilate and understand what he has read effectively.

5. When did you have to start reading?
Some students will never read their books until the examination period is near. Is not possible for all of them to cope within this short period, so a  serious students have to start reading at the Beginning of the semester when he's not is still little and not voluminous, this will enable him to reduce his reading task during examination, he will only do revise what he has been reading from the begging of the semester. Don't wait till examination period before you start reading your books, according to Dr. Ken katas  'until you hate examination malpractice you can't love books'
The more you read your books the more you prepare for the exam and the knowledge you are. Don't bribe your lecturers for marks but work for it.

Others.
Put God first in everything you do, He is the owner of understanding and wisdom and He will surely grant you wisdom and understanding to cope in your studies.  Move closer to Him by identifying with a Christian students fellowship in your school. He will surely help you to be successful in your studies
Finally, I hope I have been able to convince you on how you can read effectively in order to achieve your goal in your chosen career... God bless you all.
